This CD-ROM is a fun way for disabled and able-bodied children
to learn basic computer mouse skills.

It is a collection of fun songs and stories that can be chosen with a mouse in five different ways.

Suitable for - pre-school and junior primary school children learning how to use a mouse for the first time. It has been specifically designed for children with physical and learning disabilities but is also suitable for able-bodied children especially those with short attention spans and fine motor control and hand-eye co-ordination problems.

This may vary from child to child. Please contact us if you wish some advice on which title would be best for your child.  

The two Astech Mouse Skills programs are part of 'The Astech Approach' to assistive technology training.

      Description of Contents:

• 3 fun songs to join in with and enjoy the sound effects and animations.
  
  
• Little Chick gets lost in the woods and meets new animal friends. Lots of repetition to anticipate and join in with.
  
  
• Pip the hungry cat is, as always, trying to eat Squeek the mouse. This humorous story is in rhyme form and there are lots of fun sound effects to anticipate.
  
  
• Teddy gets ready for school.

Touchscreens

This CD-ROM can be used with a touchscreen but the verbal cues refer to a mouse and do not tell the child to 'touch'. Please contact us if you are interested in software specifically designed for use with a touchscreen. We may consider converting our 'Mouse Skills' series if there is enough interest.

This CD-ROM features one full song from the 'Songs and Stories Press'  and 'Songs and Stories Mouse Skills' CD-ROMs.

The CD gives a good indication of our software systems and interfaces and can be obtained FREE by ticking the appropriate order box on our website order form. Post and Handling charges will apply but if you return the demonstration disk in good condition with your next CD-ROM purchase order, we will dispatch your order minus the post and handling fee.
